I spent several weeks as a student intern at Brush College Elementary in Decatur, IL.
Feel free to browse the website or contact the principal if interested. Brush College Elementary
My next step is to student teach in Geneva, IL at Mill Creek Elementary.
I will provide additional information on that at a later date when more is available. Mill Creek Elementary
As an educator seeking to make a difference during these times I find it very important to educate
the total student, meaning giving them the oppurtunity to see several different sides to a story
or moment in history. I believe in allowing the student to explore materials and always encourage
asking the question "why?"
Parent Involvement:
We LOVE when parents come in and share information with us. Whether you are Croatian or not
feel free to contact me to come in and read a story, tell us something important to your culture
that would relate to Croatia, or help with our Eastern Europe cultural day!
Also, note the Parent Involvement section in the weekly newsletter I send out to the students!
There are always oppurtunities!
Feel free to let me know what you think of the site or if you have any questions at all! I check my email daily and respond around 6:30 PM. kmshana@ilstu.edu
